Once again I’ve been bad about updating. Things have been pretty status quo around here, which makes for uninteresting blog writing. You know, the weather has been nice, the kids had school again this week, we’ve got colds…not the most interesting stuff. However, I will touch quickly on my last blog post. I’m usually not one for being vague in my posts, but while I update this blog for the 3 of you that are reading out there, it is also a record of what’s happening in our family. It’s for my kids and myself to one day go back and see what was happening at any point in our life. So, I needed to add something to mark the day that we said goodbye to Charlie. I miss him terribly. We all do.

Graduation is around the corner for Meagan. Tomorrow we will be visiting the University of Minnesota. She’s doesn’t have an easy decision to make. She’s had her eye on Iowa State for a long time, and it’s still a top contender, but the tuition difference between the two is something that can’t be ignored. She’ll get a great education at either school. We’re still waiting to hear what scholarships are going to be offered at both schools which will also play a big part in the decision making process.

Annie goes back to the doctor this week to discuss her progress since having her tonsils and adenoids removed in November. I’m not sure what the next step will be, but she is still snoring and not sleeping through most nights. It doesn’t seem that the removal was the “cure” that we were hoping for.

And because no post would be complete without pictures here are a couple from a trip to Target last week. Annie was insistent that I take her picture.

Also last week was her preschool pajama party. The party was at night and the kids wore their pajamas and slippers to school, did night themed craft projects and wrapped up the night with milk, cookies and a book. Annie thought going out in her pajamas was the coolest thing ever.

And because Meagan very rarely makes it into photos these days, here’s one just to prove that she’s still alive and well. I feel like I hardly ever see her because she’s either at school or work. When she is home, Annie clings to her and wants to be whatever she’s doing. On this day Meagan was reading on her Kindle and Annie was right next to her with the iPad.

So, that’s it in a nutshell. I warned you, nothing to0 exciting going on around here. 🙂
